An Act to amend the Cook Islands Government Property Corporation Act 1969

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Cook Islands Government Property Corporation Amendment Act 1984 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Cook Islands Government Property Corporation Act 1969 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Property to vest in corporation

Section 5 of the principal Act is repealed and the following section substituted:

"5. Property to vest in corporation
(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act all property vested in or held on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen as Head of State of the Cook Islands, whether such property be situated within or outside the Cook Islands and whether held in the name of Her Majesty, or the Crown, or the Government of the Cook Islands, or any Minister, or in any other name, shall without further transfer conveyance or assignment vest in the corporation.
(2) Every transfer conveyance or assignment of property vested in or held on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen as Head of State of the Cook Islands prior to the coming into forces of this Act, whether such property be situated within or outside the Cook Islands and whether held in the name of Her Majesty, or the Crown, or the Government of the Cook Islands, or any Minister, or any other name, shall be deemed to have been a transfer conveyance or assignment in the name of the corporation in accordance with this Act."

This Act is administered by the Ministers of the Crown.
