An Act to amend the provisions of the Entry, Residence and Departure Act 1971-72

(14 October 1975

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly in Session assembled and by authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Entry, Residence and Departure Amendment Act 1975, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Entry, Residence and Departure Act 1971-72 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. New sections inserted

The principal Act is hereby further amended by inserting the following new sections after section 49 and before section 50 as follows:

"49A. Amendment of forms
Notwithstanding any provision of this Act any form which has been prescribed by this Act for use in the administration of this Act may be amended or altered by regulation made pursuant to section 51 of this Act and the form so amended or altered shall be deemed to be the form prescribed for use by this Act.
49B. Fees for services
(1) Fees may be charged by the Principal Immigration Officer for any service or act carried out by him pursuant to this Act.
(2) Any such fees shall be in accordance with those prescribed from time to time by regulations made pursuant to section 51 of this Act.
(3) Any such fees charged may be recovered in the same manner as a debt due to the Crown."

3. Schedule

The schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting Forms 10 and 11 and substituting Forms 10 and 11 in the Schedule to this Act.
