An Act to amend the Ministry of Outer Islands Development Act 1994

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Ministry of Outer Islands Development Amendment Act 1995, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Ministry of Outer Islands Development Act 1994 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st December 1995.

2. Functions of the Ministry

Section 5 of the principal Act is amended by adding after paragraph (g), the following -

""(h) to administer Island Council elections, and to assist in the administration of Island Councils generally."

This Act and the principal Act are administered by the Ministry of Outer Islands Development
