An Act to amend the Salaries of Judges Act 1969

(28 February 1972)

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement - (1) This Act may be cited as the Salaries of Judges Amendment Act 1971-72 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Salaries of Judges Act 1969 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of January 1971.

2. Salary of the Chief Judge of the High Court - Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words "six thousand and four hundred and ninety-five dollars" and substituting the words "eight thousand six hundred and sixty-four dollars".
