An Act to amend the Waterfront Industry Act 1973-74

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Waterfront Industry Amendment Act 1987 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Waterfront Industry Act 1973-74 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Interpretation

Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by repealing the definition of "Minister" and substituting the following definition -

""Minister" means the Minister responsible for the Waterfront Commission".

3. Accounts of the Commission

Subsection (2) of section 20 of the principal Act is repealed and the following substituted -

"(2) The funds of the Commission shall be kept in such bank or banks as may from time to time be approved in writing by the Minister".

This Act is administered by the Waterfront Commission.
