PURSUANT to Section 8 of the International Partnership Act 1984, the Queen's Representative, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following regulations.

REGULATIONS


1. Title - These Regulations may be cited as the International Partnership (Forms and Fees) Regulations 1985.


2. Interpretation - In these Regulations "The Act" means the International Partnership Act 1984.


3. Forms in Schedule to be used - The forms listed in the First Schedule and set out in the Second Schedule shall be the forms used for the purpose of the corresponding section of the Act set out in the First Schedule.


4. Directions in forms - A form prescribed in these Regulations shall be completed in accordance with such directions as are specified thereon.


5. Particulars on accompanying documents - Where the Act requires prescribed particulars to be set out in a document to be lodged with the Registrar the particulars required to be included in the form set out in the Schedule for the purpose shall, unless express porivsion to the contrary is made by any other egulation made under the Act, be the prescribed particulars.


6. Application where no special form prescribed - Where application is made to the Registrar under any provision of the Act and no other form is provided, such application may be made on form, IPA/4 set out in the Second Schedule.


7. General provisions relating to forms and other documents - Every form lodged with the Registrar shall comply with the following requirements -


(a) the form shall be on paper of medium weight and good quality and of a size not less than 81/2 inches deep by 51/2 inches wide and not more than foolscap folio size;


(b) subject to the Act, the form shall be printed or handwritten and shall be clearly legible;


(c) except with the consent of the Registrar, the form shall have a margin of not less than one inch on the left-hand side and a margin of not less than one-half inch on the right-hand side;


(d) where the form comprises two or more sheets -


(i) the sheets shall be bound together securely; and


(ii) each sheet shall have a margin of not less than one inch on the side on which it is bound in addition to any space required for binding;


(e) where the form comprises more than 20 sheets, it shall be bound securely inside a durable and flexible cover; and


(f) the form shall have endorsed on it -


(i) on the upper left-hand corner, the registered number allotted by the Registrar to the international partnership to which the form relates, and the name of the trustee company by whom the form is lodged; and


(ii) on the upper right-hand corner the identifying number of the form and the following words -


"Lodged on ............., 19

Registrar"


8. Fees - Where the Act or any regulations made thereunder provides for the payment of a prescribed fee to be paid shall be the fee set out in the Third Schedule and shall be payable to the Registrar.


9. Time for payment - Where a prescribed fee is payable in respect of a form lodged with the Registrar, that fee shall be paid on the lodgement of that form.


10. Currency - The fees set out in the Third Schedule are in the currency of the United States of America.
