COMMISSIONER OF POLICE (APPOINTMENT) ORDER

ORDER IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

At Avarua, Rarotonga this 31st day of May 2007

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE QUEEN'S REPRESENTATIVE IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PURSUANT to Section 3 of the Police Act 1981, His Excellency the Queen's Representative, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following Order:

ANALYSIS

l. Title and commencement
2. Appointment of Police Commissioner

ORDER

l. Title and commencement - (1) This Order may by cited as the Commissioner of Police (Appointment) Order.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the 18th of June 2007.

2. Appointment - PATRICK JOHN TASKER is hereby appointed to be the Commissioner of Police.

3. Term - The term of the appointment shall be for two years commencing on the coming into force of this Order.
