At Avarua, Rarotonga, this 18th day of June 2010

HIS EXCELLENCY THE QUEEN'S REPRESENTATIVE
IN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL


PURSUANT to sections 4, 8 and 9 of the Civil List Act 2005 and section 15 of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 2005 His Excellency the Queen's Representative, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following Order:

ORDER


l. Title - This Order may be cited as the Remuneration Tribunal (Queen's Representative and Members of Parliament Salaries and Allowances) Amendment Order 2010 and shall be read together and deemed part of the Remuneration Tribunal (Queen's Representative and Members of Parliament Salaries and Allowances) Order 2009 (hereinafter referred to as "principal Order")


2. New section - The principal Order is amended by inserting after section 11 and before section 12 the following new section -


"11A Transfer expenses - Where a Member for an Outer Island constituency elects to reside in Rarotonga, the costs of shipping his household goods and personal effects shall be met from the Government account at the same rate then applying in the Cook Islands Public Service and where that member loses his seat in an election and elects to return to his constituency, the same privilege shall apply."
