THE REPUBLIC OF FIJI

DECREE NO. 1

APPOINTMENT OF PRIME MINISTER DECREE 1987 (NO. 1)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji, I hereby make the following Decree-

1. This Decree may be cited as the Appointment of Prime Minister Decree.

2. I hereby appoint Ratu Sir Kamisese Kapaiwai Tuimacilai Mara, G.C.M.C..K.B.E.. Kt SJ as the first Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji.
