DECREE NO. 33 OF 1992

CUSTOMS (AMENDMENT) DECREE, 1992

A DECREE TO AMEND THE CUSTOMS ACT, 1986

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree:

Short title, etc.

1.-(1) This Decree may be cited as the Customs (Amendment) Decree, 1992.

(2) The Customs Act, 1986 is in this Decree referred to as the "Principal Act."

Part 1 amended

2. Subsection (1) of Section 2 of Part 1 to the Principal Act is amended by the addition of the following words after the word "law" in the definition of "duty"-

"and includes Value Added Tax leviable under Section 14 of the Value Added Tax Decree 1991".

Commencement

3. This Decree shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1992.
