DECREE NO. 4

EXCISE (AMENDMENT) DECREE 1987

A DECREE TO AMEND THE EXCISE ACT, 1986

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following decree-

Short title, etc.

1. - (1) This Decree may be cited as the Excise (Amendment) Decree, 1987.

(2) The Excise Act, 1986 is in this Decree referred to as the principal Act.

Schedule 2 Amended

2. Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the principal Act is amended-

(a) by substituting the expression '44.42 cents' for the expression '42.42 cents' in column 3 Item No. 1.01;

(b) by substituting the expression '30.97 cents' for the expression '28.97 cents' in column 3 of Item No. 1.02;

(c) by substituting the expression '44.42 cents' for the expression '42.42 cents' and the expression '30.97 cents' for the expression '28.97 cents' in column 3 of Item No. 1.03;

(d) by substituting the expression '$40.90' for the expression '$38.90' in column 3 of Item No. 2.01;

(e) by substituting the expression '$20.38' for the expression '$18.38' in column 3 of Item No. 2.02;

(f) by substituting the expression '$40.90' for the expression '$38.90' and the expression '$20.38' for the expression '$18.38' in column 3 of Item No. 2.03;

(g) by substituting the expression '74 cents' for the expression '72 cents' in column 5 of Item No. 3.00;

(h) by substituting the expression '$22.75' for the expression '$20.88' in column 3 of Item No. 4.01;

(i) by substituting the expression '$13.00' for the expression '12.00' in column 3 of Item No. 4.03; and

(j) by substituting the expression '$22.75' for the expression '$20.88' in column 3 of Item No. 4.04.
