MEDIA INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2010
(DECREE No. 43 of 2010)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Republic of Fiji and the Commander in Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces by virtue of the Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 2009, I hereby make the following Decree -

TO AMEND THE MEDIA INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT DECREE 2010

Citation and commencement

1. - (1) This Decree maybe cited as the Media Industry Development (Amendment) Decree 2010.

(2) This Decree is deemed to have come into force on the date of commencement of the Media Industry Development Decree 2010 (Decree No. 29 of 2010).

Section 86 Amended

2. Section 86 of the Media Industry Development Decree is amended by -

(a) adding "(1)" after '86'

(b) inserting after subsection (1) a new subsection "(2)" -

"(2) The Minister, acting on the advice of the Attorney-General, may exempt any person, organisation, class of persons or class of organisation by notice in the Gazette."
