EXPLOSIVES (FIREWORKS) REGULATIONS 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 5 of the Act, I make these Regulations -

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Explosives (Fireworks) Regulations 2006.

Sale and use of fireworks

2.-(1) No person shall sell or supply any fireworks to a person who is under the age of 18.

(2) No person shall use or discharge any fireworks except between the hours of 5.00 pm and 10.00 pm.

(3) Notwithstanding subregulation (2), the permitted hours for the use or discharge any fireworks for the Diwali Holiday shall be between the hours of 5.00 pm and 12.00 midnight.

(4) A person who contravenes subregulation (1), (2) or (3) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $400 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 6 months.
