FOREIGN INVESTMENT ACT 1999

(ACT NO. 1 OF 1999)

FOREIGN INVESTMENT (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 19 of the Act, I make these Regulations-

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Foreign Investment (Amendment) Regulations 2006.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Foreign Investment Regulations 2005 is amended by renumbering the existing regulation as subregulation (1) and by adding the following subregulation-

"(2) In these Regulations, "Agriculture" does not include the following agricultural activities-

(a) dairy farming;

(b) beef farming;

(c) prawn farming;

(d) hydroponics; and

(e) poultry farming."

Schedule amended

3. The Schedule to the Foreign Investment Regulations 2005 is amended in column 2 under item "Agriculture" by adding, "or must comply with the conditions imposed by the Minister".
