MAGISTRATE'S COURTS ORDINANCE 1977
EXTENSION OF ALL MAGISTRATES' COURTS
JURISDICTION ORDER 1979

WHEREAS the Chief Justice has power to extend the jurisdiction of a Magistrates'
Court under section 28 of the Magistrates' Courts Ordinance.1977;

NOW THEREFORE, I JAMES AIDEN O'BRIEN QUINN, Chief Justice of Kiribati do hereby specify that the jurisdiction of all Magistrates' Court shall extend to the trial of all offences contrary to the provisions of the Prices Ordinance 1976 (No.6 of 1976) in addition to the normal jurisdiction of the Magistrates' Court set out in the First and Second Schedules to the Magistrates' Courts Ordinance 1977.
