LEGAL PROFESSION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2007

AN ACT

to amend Section 509 of the Legal Profession Act, 1991 by deleting Subsections (2) and (8) of that Section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE NITIJELA OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE
MARSHALL ISLANDS:

Section l. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Legal Profession (Amendment) Act, 2007.

Section 2. Amendments

(1) Section 509(2) of the Legal Profession Act, 1991 is hereby deleted in its entirety.

(2) Section 509(8) of the Legal Profession Act, 1991 is hereby deleted in its entirety.

Section 3. Effective Date

This Act shall take effect on the date of certification, in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedures of the Nitijela.

CERTIFICATE

I hereby certify:

(1) That Nitijela Bill No:135 was passed by the Nitijela of the Republic of the Marshall Islands on the 27th day of March, 2007; and

(2) That I am satisfied that Nitijela Bill No.:135 was passed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Rules of Procedures of the Nitijela.
