AN ACT

To amend the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Ordinance 1967.

Enacted by the Parliament of Nauru as follows:

1. SHORT TITLE

(1) This Act may be cited as the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Ordinance Amendment Act 1972.

(2) The Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Ordinance 1967 is in this Act referred to as the principal Ordinance.

(3) The principal Ordinance as amended by this Act may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Act 1967-1972.

2. COMMENCEMENT

This Act shall come into force on a date to be notified by the Minister in the Gazette.

3. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 13

Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is amended:-

(a) by inserting in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) the words, "Twenty thousand dollars" in lieu of the words, "Eight thousand dollars" and
(b) by inserting in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) the words, "One hundred thousand dollars" in lieu of the words, "Forty thousand dollars".
