An Act to -

Amend the Civil List Act 2019.

The Assembly enacts as follows -

1. Title

This Act is the Civil List Amendment Act 2019.

2. Commencement

This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it becomes law in accordance with Article 34 of the Constitution

3. Principal Act amended

This Act amends the Civil List Act 2017.

Amendments

4. Payment of Remuneration

Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing subsection (2) and substituting with the following subsection;

(2) The rate of remuneration in Part 1 of the Schedule is deemed to be effective from 12th December 2019.

5. Rates of Remuneration amended

Part 1 of the Schedule is repealed and the following Amended Schedule is substituted.

I, Togiavalu Pihigia, Speaker of the Nine Assembly, certify that the requirements of Article 34 of the Niue Constitution have been complied with.
