GENOCIDE (AMENDMENT) ACT 1995

AN ACT

TO AMEND THE GENOCIDE ACT

[13th September, 1995.]

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Genocide (Amendment) Act 1995.

(2) The Genocide Act (Cap. 19) is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 2(1) of the Principal Act is amended –

(i) in the English version by deleting the word "without" and substituting the word "within";

(ii) in the Tongan version by deleting the word "sensoaite" and substituting the word "senosaite".

Passed by the Legislative Assembly this 13th day of September 1995.
