PUBLIC REVENUE (AMENDMENT) ACT 1997

AN ACT

TO AMEND THE PUBLIC REVENUE ACT

[8th October, 1997.]

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:-

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Public Revenue (Amendment) Act 1997 and it shall come into effect on the 1st day of June 1998.

(2) The Public Revenue Act (Cap. 64) is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

2. Section 2 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the following words and their definitions.

"Development Account";
"Recurrent Account".

3. Section 3(2) of the Principal Act is repealed.

4. Section 4(1) of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Recurrent or Development" and substituting therefor the word "Annual".

5. Section 8 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Development Account and the Recurrent Account" and substituting therefor the word "account".
