PUBLIC SERVICE (AMENDMENT) (NO.2) ACT 2019¹

AN ACT TO AMEND THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. Short Title

(1) This Act may be cited as the Public Service (Amendment)(No.2) Act 2019.

(2) In this Act, the Public Service Act 2002, as amended, shall be referred to as the ‘Principal Act’.

2. Schedule II amended

Schedule II of the Principal Act is amended by –

(a) removing the “.” after paragraph 22 and replacing it with the word “; and”; and
(b) inserting the following new paragraph 23 –

• “23 The Private Secretary to His Majesty the King”.

Passed by the Legislative Assembly this 7th day of March 2019.
