CIVIL AVIATION (AERODROMES AND LICENSING CHARGES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2003

CIVIL AVIATION ACT 1990


In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Civil Aviation, with the consent of Cabinet, makes the following Regulations:


1.


(1). These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Aerodromes and Licensing Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 2003.

(2). The Civil Aviation (Aerodromes and Licensing Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1996, as amended, are in these Regulations referred to as the Principal Regulations.

2. The Principal Regulations are amended by inserting the following new regulation after Regulation 6:


"6A


(1). The operational hours of any aerodrome in the Kingdom shall be from 6.30am to 7.30pm from Monday to Saturday or any other time on those days that the Minister may determine and publish in the Gazette.


(2). Where any operator wishes to use the aerodrome outside the operational hours shall make a written application to the Minister.


(3). The Minister upon approving an application shall charge a fee of $400 for each hour or part thereof that the aerodrome needs to be operational as a result of the application.


(4). The Minister shall apportion the fee amongst the applicants if there is more than one applicant."
