ORDER IN COUNCIL

GS 1 of 1989

CUSTOM AND EXCISE ACT 1983

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 36(2) of the Customs and Excise Act 1983, the King in Council makes the following order:

Part II of the Schedule II of the Customs and Excise Act 1983 is amended by omitting clause 1A of the List of Restricted Exports and substituting the following:

"1A Raw, processed or semi-processed coral except with the written permission of the Controller of Customs:

Provided that the restriction imposed by this paragraph does not apply to the taking out of the country of coral and coral products up to the value of one thousand pa’anga by any person departing from Tonga."
