HIS MAJESTY'S ARMED FORCES PENSIONS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2014

HIS MAJESTY'S ARMED FORCES ACT

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 141 of His Majesty's Armed Forces Act, His Majesty hereby makes the following Regulations -

1 Short Title and Interpretation
(1) These Regulations may be cited as the His Majesty's Armed Forces Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2014.

(2) In these Regulations, His Majesty's Armed Forces Pensions Regulations 1994, shall be referred to as the Principal Regulations.

2 Regulation 2 amended
Regulation 2(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting the following new term and its definition in the appropriate place –

""rate of pay" means the sum of members of His Majesty's Armed Forces basic pay, allowances (duty allowances, efficiency bar allowances and trade pay) and ration allowance;".

3 Retrospective effect
This amendment regulation shall have retrospective effect and is deemed to have come into force on the same day as the Principal Regulations.
