FAIR TRADING ACT 1998
GENERAL PRICE ORDER 2006

The Price Board, under section 55 of the Fair Trading Act 1998 and upon resolution made at its meeting dated 25 September 2006, make the following order.

1. Short title and commencement - This Order may be cited as the General Special Price Order 2006.

(2) This order shall commence on 1 October 2006.

2. Interpretation - In this Order:

"freezer goods" means turkey tails, lamb necks, turkey wings, pure mutton flaps, chicken legs, lamb breasts and lamb flaps, chicken thighs and pork trotters;

"dry goods" means sugar (all types), rice (all brands) salt, flour (all brands), potatoes, onions, dairy products and condensed milk, imported beer, imported corned beef,

imported camp pie, noodles (all types), macaroni and vermicelli, tinned fish (all brands including tuna canned products), milk powder (all brands), dripping and cooking oil (all types) soy sauce (all brands), laundry powder and bathing soap (all brands) mosquito coils (all brands), toothpaste (all brands), imported cigarettes and tobacco, butter and margarine.

3. Maximum price of certain goods in Upolu-(1) In Upolu the maximum percentage mark-up for the wholesale of freezer goods is 15% and for the wholesale sale of dry goods is 12.5%.

(2) In Upolu the maximum percentage mark-up for the retail sale of freezer goods is 22.5% and for the retail sale of dry goods is 20%.

4. Maximum price of certain goods in Savaii-(1) In Savaii the maximum percentage mark-up for the wholesale sale of freezer goods is 21% and for the wholesale sale of dry goods is 18.5%.

(2) In Savaii the maximum percentage mark-up for the retail sale of freezer goods is 25% and for the retail sale of dry goods is 22.5%.

5. Revocation - General Price Order 2002 (No.1) is revoked.
